A feature documentary which follows the magical journey of a theatre group performing
a play about New Zealand poet James K. Baxter in Dunedin. Their lives are strangely
caught up in the failed dream of Baxter to establish community, as they begin to feel his
presence with them. Destined for one short season, the play begins a journey of its own
which will not end before the troupe has travelled to the UK to perfom in Edinburgh. A
journey of hope and encounter, destined to restore audiences' belief in the transforming
power of art.
